What are wakeboard competitions?Wakeboard events are generally a set of Regionals in which we compete against other midwest teams such as our 'buddy team' Wisconsin. The top three teams of each region come together for Nationals. Nationals is a CBS Sports televised event called the Alt Games, it's location changes every year. The Wakeboard tournaments are a great time to relax and watch some sick boarding!
When are wakeboard competitions? The regionals are held toward the end of September. Should we qualify for Nationals; they are held in the Spring/ early Summer. So we shake off the winter rust and go hard!
Who competes?A collegiate wakeboard team is made up of six boarders; 4 guys, and 2 gals. They compete to collect the most points for the team in order for the team to move on to Nationals. Each individual is also ranked by their points in their division (Ex: 1st place in Men's A). We can create an A and B team; that means anyone can compete with us! Get on it!
